Installation procedure:

- fixed permission under OS X 10.3.7
- updated with OS X 10.3.8 Combo update
- fixed permissions under OS X 10.3.8

Solved:

- very slow access of Mail to mailbox (receiving and sending mail)
- Quicktime player not loading "hot picks"
- very slow access to iTunes Store
- very slow access to all Apple servers, (except Software Update which behaved normal under 10.3.7)
