I found the problem with Virtual PC 7 and Netbarrier. The Hiding of the Last Page surfed in Privacy feature of NB will cause Windows Internet Explorer in VPC 7 to permanantly hang. Unchecking that feature in NB allows IE to work again in VPC.
I know that Intego is looking at possible issues with NB and Virtual PC, but I do not know what other (if any) issues that may exist.

VPC 7- NetBarrier interaction - Angus111
Thanks so much, I was about to start banging my head against the wall. FWIW, in my case, the problem cropped up in OS 10.4.4 and NB 10.4.4.Monday, January 30 2006 @ 06:41 PM PST
VPC 7- NetBarrier interaction - prov99
I wish I had seen this comment weeks ago!I could not get Internet Explorer in VPC to connect at all for weeks, and the problem stumped everybody including Microsoft support. What was really puzzling me was that I had tried several times turning Netbarrier off and restarting, which had no effect.
What iI didn't realize was that the feature you mention remains "switched on" even though Netbarrier has been turned off. you have to actually turn it off before disabling Netbarrier. Then you can run both IE on VPC and Netbarrier!
It took two 45 minute calls to Microsoft to figure this one out, but the Microsoft guy must get the credit for spotting your post!
