Right, but the menu extra simply doesn't show up. When I opened the application resources and ran the starter script for Library Books manually, the star temporarily appeared in the menu bar with the number 0, and the following was logged to my console.log:

No big deal though, my library doesn't use a SIRSI system so I wouldn't use it, I just wanted to take a look at it as I was thinking about doing something like it to work with my local library system.
