Once you get use to coding your schematics into netlists, and setting up simulations with a text editor - like the old days. This package performs very well. The simulations run quickly. For evaluating relatively small designs, this is just fine. I give this a good ease of use rating, because its easy to use for what it is. Compared to systems that allow you to enter schematics and have flexible output formats - its not easy to use... But given that it is 'freeware', its has nearly infinite value - divide by zero error.
My only request.. It would would be great if there was an option to export simulation data/vectors to a tab delimited, or spreadsheet format. Dare I mention excel >). This would allow for a more modern and flexible data analysis.
Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. The latest version of MacSpice (v 2.8 patchlevel 8) will export results in an appropriate tab-delimited format if you set the filetype variable to 'tabbed' or 'mac_tabbed' and then use the 'write' command.Charles
