I don't think it is worth the money. PERIOD!!! There are plenty of free apps out there that are similar and just as useful. I know that devealopers have to recoup their costs and also have the ready cash for further versions but I guess I got used to it as freeware and the sudden change to a commercial enterprise caught me off guard. I feel that apps that start out as commercial apps should remain as such and freeware should be freeware and not suddenly change to a commercial endeavor. One thing though it is darn hard to get rid of all traces of this app. It leaves data files and preference files and all sorts of stuff that can only be removed with Command F and then looking for "name contains" MacJournal. The files marked Dan Shimpf Mac Journal data are of course part of the ones to be removed but you have to be careful not to remove anything else that might suspiciously belong to another app or under sw (fink) apps.

It's not that hard to remove.... delete /Applications/MacJournal.app, ~/Library/Preferences/com.danschimpf.macjournal.plist, ~/Library/Application Support/MacJournal/*, and you're done.Reply to This
