I bought an OEM UL3D last year. I learned from ATTO tech support that the OEM card has no NVRAM chip. Therefore, it cannot be upgraded or configured. Basically this means that you can have 160 MB/sec bus, but no smart SCSI features such as command tagged queueing, etc.

That's what ATTO told me as well. Yet I upgraded the flash to 1.6.6f0 and the driver to 3.2 a couple of months ago and all is well with my OEM G4 867 mirrored PowerMac with the ATTO,ExpressPCIProUL3D. I have found driver 3.0 more stable, however. But I am still fiddling with version 3.2 hoping that it stabilizes over time as I play with it.The trick is to login as root to both download and install the flash first and then the driver using the version 2.8 configuration application. Be sure to repair permissions both before AND after the upgrade ATTO's installer are not the best. i would also rebuild Prebindings with something like Panther Cache Cleaner or Onyx.
