Well, in my previous comments I had high hopes that the update to this game would fix the java version problems. Unfortunately, this game has been returned (back) to my bookshelf because it just doesn't work consistently enough to even get thru gathering evidence. It freezes and stalls at too many places and is too unpredictable to be able to pin down the problem. I have also read many complaints on the Law and Order games forum site (both PC and MAC) that echo my own. This venture into java-based game play is a poor, poor effort. If you want a crime investigation game that actually works "out of the box", get a copy of CSI.
