I thought why not give Billy's new software a try? After all they plan to make you pay for it in the future. It promised "Continuous protection improves Internet browsing safety by guarding over 50 ways spyware can enter your PC. "

Well sure enough after running for an hour or 2 it found hundreds of spyware and viruses. So I click delete. When I reboot the registry is hosed and I'm barely able to boot into safe mode to repair it. It doesn't even work - it keeps finding the same regenerating spyware and locks up the machine. I only got a stable system back when I uninstalled it. My final solution was to manually remove some trojans like wintools while in safe mode and switch to Firefox. Amazing that this browser can actually block pop-ups while Explorer on its highest security setting can't.

I think you were running an old version of Giant anti-spywear, or your computer was ancient. I have never had a problem with it. It is one of the best programs out for preventing spywear.
