Dear N, You know, that was going to be my next project, to write a utility, as you suggested, which would search Safari bookmarks. I was thinking of charging you $5 for it, but then, a few weeks ago I discovered that this feature is already built into Safari! It's tricky to find, but here's how it works. Go to menu->Bookmarks->Show All Bookmarks. Then, do Edit->Find. You get the usual "FInd" dialog box, which usually finds text on web pages. But now, since the page in the front window is your bookmarks, it searches your bookmarks for the text. It searches both the names and the urls. You don't even have to open the disclosure triangles - it drills down inside all of the folders. (I remember stupid Internet Explorer would only sort bookmarks of open folders ---arggghhh!!!!). Well, you see Apple isn't so bad after all. So you can keep your $5, or else donate it to a worthy cause, as I suggest in my SafariSorter documentation. :) Jerry Krinock Raisinland
