For Coders - this is a great app that w/ a few more features and polish will be at the very top of the text editors list for the mac.
I code using this --How it handles the site drawer is far more intelligent than most other apps I've seen, and the snippet/auto complete features are gold -- but I keep BBEdit handy for file comparison, folder comparison, and tag completion. As it is, I'm spending about 70% of my time in Textmate and 30% in BBedit. I expect a lot higher percentage in Textmate as new versions come out.
If only I could get a combination of the two.
I don't need ftp integration in a text editor -- I use the excellent Transmit. But some may find that lacking.
I also dislike the way it handles undos; it undoes each character typed instead of grouping characters making a large undo tedious.
In the end I give it five stars as the most promising text editor out there, though admittedly every time you turn around a new, very competent text editor for the mac shows up. SubEthaEdit, Smultron, Hyperedit, skEdit. The days of BBEdit monopoly are over.
TextMate
Versatile text editor.
