Existing users, 
I've tried the fixes listed on this site and have looked for support elsewhere, but I still cannot change the preferences in any sort of way or Myst will crash.
After changing the preferences and returning to the main menu, everything will work just fine until I try to mouseover one of the buttons on the book- this causes it to crash.
I am up to date and have changed the permissions as was suggested. I am running on a Powerbook G4 with a 1.33 Ghz and 512 MB of memory. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you very much, winton!It is too bad that the fourth one in the series isn't as good as the previous ones, especially in the programming and packaging department. Perhaps they need programmers that actually <i>use</i> OS X once in a while ...

You can change the options by making any you require and then quitting before returning to the main book menu. If you relaunch and go back in you'll see that your changes have been retained. Bit of a botch but does seem to work. All a bit of a downer though, and the patch to 1.01 doesn't seem to work at all.Reply to This
