System Info:I've used it from G3, VLC 0.8 was smoother than, still problems go back to the older version 0.4.4

If only it were true! How come the "up to date" VLC user guide uses command line options for the http interface that don't exist in the latest version, namely --http-src and --http-host, which aren't accepted by version 0.8.1. I still can't figure out how to use the http interface.
