I'm sure in ALL european nations christmas still is on the 25th. But the Holy Night has become more important than christmas itself because people get their gifts and don't know (or don't care?) about the religious reasons for this holiday any more...

In the nordic countries, especially Sweden, the 24 is the most important day during christmas
