I am withdrawing my earlier support for Virex. Recent tests with Sophos on an OS 9.1 iMac protected with Virex 6.1 show that it was infected with 'W32/Netsky-J', 'W32/Rbot-FM' and 'Joke/De bug'. Pity Sophos cannot scan Compact Pro archives. There is some circumstantial evidence that the removal of Virex has increased stability.
