I have to say (being that my old, scathing post was still visible) the speed, which was my biggest complaint, has been dealt with and is greatly improved. NOW you have my attention! If you visit the developer’s web site, you’ll see that RAW image support and EXIF features are planned (which are necessary for my workflow).
Now I can say: Not bad. For free, a nice addition that picks up where iPhoto leaves off. If you can’t afford Photoshop, Portfolio or iView, it’s a good alternative.
As far as the EOS in the name, all this talk about it begs the question, what does the EOS in the name mean? If it is a take on the Canon name, then it’s kind of silly not supporting the Canon RAW files...
