The newest Entourage sets standards by which the other email clients should be judged. It is easy to use, stable, full of features (why should I use separate applications to handle my projects, calendar events etc.?) and it offers--as do its sister programmes of the MS Office 2004--unmatched handling of non-Roman characters (such as Czech and Polish diacritical signs, Cyrillic alphabet and such). It is far superior to Apple's own Mail application whose shortcomings, especially in the area of handling multiple accounts, are simply disappointing, if not infuriating.
My only complain concerns the Entourage Database file, which in the past easily became corrupted (meaning lost emails, addresses and all), but under MS Office 2004 that problem seems (largely) gone. With the MS Office 2004 (including the Entourage) Microsoft did it again, shooting itself gently in the foot by making the Mac version of its flagship software suite so much better and more elegant than its Windows namesake.
