(Note that the version number should actually be 3.0.3)
I have this working great on 10.3.6 with Entourage X and a Yahoo email account. Just drag the spam emails from Entourage into the designated folder, and it will work.
Disadvantages:
1) Generally about half bounce back as "mailbox full" or "no such user" ... leading to more useless email in my inbox
2) Only seems to work with one email account. There doesn't seem to be a way to add additional email accounts to the product.
We'll see if this actually helps or not. I'm not surprised that it will take weeks to work, the spammers need to figure out who is generating the complaints and remove them from their mailing list.
In the long term, this won't help much with disreputable ISP's, since they will just ignore the compaints. It may help get zombie home computers on DSL/Cable connections booted off the network, if people like Comcast play ball. I doubt it, though, since Comcast can already figure out who has been zombied by looking at the users with high volume outgoing email. Still, the hassle factor might reduce the market value for a zombied PC a bit.
It's nice to have some way to fight back.
