Why does this consume so much CPU when idle?

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: NO

Nice... but consumes too much CPU (about the same as Entourage, and more memory!!). I'd expect such an app to stay idle when in hiding.... Makes no sense to me; it's not like it's doing much, yet it eats nearly 5% of my CPU.

Why does this consume so much CPU when idle? - mia66

I stopped using iClip due to the CPU load. I like the program, but I don't see why it has to chug away when idle. When something has been doe about that, I'll start using it again.

Who cares? - mikepower

So what? It's no big deal and it certainly doesn't trouble me or the thousands of other satisfied users out there. I suppose it all depends on what you do on your Mac. What I do is vastly helped by this app.
If that's not the case for you then don't bother with it - simple as!
