Yeah, endnote has its share of problems, but thats what you get when you try to integrate with MS. Why is anyone using Office 2004 over the much faster and more stable 10.1.x anyway?

I won't be updating either for a while. Not untill MS releases its imminent bug fixes and endnote takes them all into account.

Endnote saves me tons of time and I don't have any freeze-up problems others have described, though is does slow things down at times.

Because Office 2004 (like Endnote 8) supports Unicode, which is essential if you deal with documents that use foreign alphabets or characters.
