I got an error similar to mrougeux. My problem was PEBCAK (Problem Exists Between Chair And Keyboard). I use MiCal and had to quit it before the update would install. Hopefully this helps others with similar problems. After quitting MiCal all went well.

I had the same problem with MenuCalendarClock and had to quit it. Since these apps feed off iCal data it must tiie some iCal resources up even though iCal isn't open.Reply to This
