"Please quit iCal before update"

Feedback Type:  Troubleshooting Report

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

If anyone comes up with an error message saying "Please quit iCal before beginning this update" make sure you quit all types of apps/dock/menu items that can access iCal's database. I was running MenuCalendarClock and Software Update wouldn't let me start the update until I quit MenuCalendarClock.

So keep an eye out for this problem in other apps like when updating Address Book and the like.

It had me stumped for a few minutes there...

Worked for me. I also have Menu Calendar and quit out of it to make the install work. Thanks.

Thanks. I've been ignoring this update until now because of this very problem. I'm not even using the iCal feature of MenuCalendarClock but it still has to be closed before the update works.
