wrong.here's what you do:
1. Rip with MacTheRipper (if it's protected, select region 1)
2. Downsize it to 4.4gb with Dvd2OneX
3. Burn with Toast (DVD-ROM)

http://www.fastdvdcopy.com/FastDVDCopy2 Can't be beat. I have paid full price for both my Mac's. They paid for themselves in a few days. One big green button. Copy CD's, DVD's and Playstation Games. It does dual formats and you can edit what you don't want copied.

Also, for those people wanting a one-click 'convert my DVD to a file I can play on my computer', try 'HandBrake' (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/21117). A few simple options, and a big 'RIP' button at the bottom. Nice.Monday, January 24 2005 @ 02:48 AM PST

"forgive the lack of comp knowledge,, but i don't understand why it's so hard to copy a dvd,,,,, is there any program out there that will allow me to press one button that will create an exact duplicate of one dvd onto a blank dvd?"Sure--Toast Titanium will do exactly that. I use it several times a week to duplicate DVDs. It does require that you have enough HD space to copy the entire DVD image--up to 5 GB, and it can take quite a while. What you CAN'T do (easily, at least) is to duplicate a copy-protected DVD. Toast won't let you. There supposedly is software to do this, but it at least used to involve several steps.
