The registration codes that you can obtain from thepalace.com are for the palace client software that is no longer in developement (which is for classic mac os only). PalaceChat is a new palace client (the only one for Mac OS X) and is not affiliated in anyway with the company that used to make The Palace software. In order to get a PalaceChat registration code it must be purchased
