I use StickyBrain2 and was excited to see a new version introduced.
So I installed StickyBrain3, restarted, and found Little Snitch and DoubleCommand had been disabled. After I cooled off a bit I deinstalled SB3 and restarted. Little Snitch came back online but DC had to be reinstalled.
Installed SB3 again to check whether the same behavior would be repeated. It was. It disabled Little Snitch and DC again. Deinstalled SB3 for the second time, restarted. Little Snitch came back online. DC needed to be reinstalled.
Cause and effect seems obvious.
Who knows what else SB3 has done to my system. I'm really p..... off. Stupidly didn't bother to read the feedback on VT as it seems that others have had that similar problems.
This is potentially dangerous software.

re: Disables Little Snitch - tombovo
I had the same issues, but its not that bad. The problem is that the Sticky Brain installer changes permissions on some Library directories that it shouldn't. Little Snitch isn't really disabled. Just repair permissions, which is a step everyone should do after running an installer anyway, or re-install Little Snich and all is well again. I believe the that the permissions on the Library/Startup Items directory get changed when installing the Open Base startup script, and that causes some system items (Little Snitch and all the Intego security stuff) to issue warnings, but they are still functioning.Reply to This
