I remember this game fondly from my IIsi days. It drove me mad then and it drives me mad now. But this time, it's because the keys are unresponsive. I keep on getting killed by those bloody pentagons because my shields don't come on in time when I press the spacebar. And it's not because I'm too slow, even if I press the spacebar as soon as I see the pentagon start dropping down, the shields still don't go on. In fact, they *never* activate. There is definitely something wrong with the key response in this game. (TiBook 1Mhz, 10.3.6)

I've put a separate comment up, but just to cover all the bases I'll comment here too. This is due to the bad behavior of other software running at the same time; one user found that iClock was to blame, and quitting iClock fixes the problem. Other apps may cause similar problems, if they try to take control of the machine during a game or try to intercept keystrokes; it is recommended that you quit other apps while playing Solarian, particularly iClock but, if you experience problems, other apps too.Reply to This
