Perhaps full point upgrades should be reserved for when new feature sets are added, but all in all, a good upgrade. I'm quite pleased with the newly found snappiness. Even larger files are opening up significantly more quickly.
One thing which seems to need addressing is the paper sizing memory. I am so often surprised to find myself started a document to find that the paper size is not A4, which is my OS default and I have repeatedly saved A4 as the NWX default size as well. There are really only two countries in the entire world that use 8.5x11 paper... so would it not make more sense that the default paper size be A4? Regardless I would like to have my default stay as a default. Other than that...

Have you set up a Nisus New File? This is where you can set your paper size, prefered fonts and styles. Save it as ~/Library/Application Support/Nisus Writer/Nisus New File.dot. This template will now be what every new file you open is based on.e
