Visualizer for iTunes? - Ian Dunlop

Thanks for the feedback. I understand that some people will be looking for iTunes integration. This app is not heading in that direction.

From a purely development point of view you could make the argument that I could maintain an iTunes plug-in in parallel, however due to the limitations of my time I need to stay focused.

I'm all about the interaction and iTunes seems a little restrictive in that sense.

Visualizer for iTunes? - drakedane

I disagree that this should be an iTunes plugin! For God's sake, iTunes has more than enough visualizer plugins; and I've been specifically looking for a visualizer that WOULD be standalone! Why? Because iTunes is NOT the only media tool out there!!! There's Quicktime and RealPlayer and WM Player, leading the pack. Then I use a host of other audio software that it would be great to visualize, but iTunes is literally the only program i have with a visualizer. I guess WMPlayer has a visualizer, but only in the Windows version.

Anyway, I'm glad the developer says that the direction is NOT towards an iTunes plugin. I haven't tried it yet, but I hope it does exactly what I want it to do. And, if it does what I think it does, how would you even use most of the features in iTunes anyway?

What the hell are you thinking??? Do you ONLY use iTunes for all of your audio? Are you never forced to use a web-based player for any multimedia content?
