HELP... I'm running VPC 7.0 with XP Pro on a powerbook G4 at 1.33 GHz with 500 MB allocated to the VPC... There is 1.5 G of RAM in the PB... The performance of the system is beyond slow... windows take forever to even move, let alone repaint. I use to have VPC 6.0 and Win 2K... It seemed like a much more friendly and efficient combination... At this point I'd say that performance on a powerbook is unacceptable. If anyone has any ideas about how this might be improved, I'm all ears. If this is typical performance, then it is really too bad... VPC was getting pretty good for a while.

If you feel comfortable with the registry, one place you may want to try is "tweakxp.com". There are many XP adjustments that I have tried under VPC 6.01 and they have increased the OS tremendously.VPC 7 w/ XP Pro will allow you to use the same tweaks e.e adjust the show menu delay to 150 for almost instant menu displays. Also TweakXP allowed me to use some of their ideas to adjust the boot times to where I can boot up and shut down faster than almost any PC. Hope that helps.
