iMac Man is 100% right, this kind of behavior by Apple does not encourage customer's loyalty. It would be great if they offered an upgrade option for people with "fairly new" ipods - like myself; I just bought a 40gb ipod less than a month ago and specifically asked if they were planning on releasing a version with color display and bluetooth capabilities. The answer was "it is not planned and not being discussed for the near future" - less than a month ago...!
I am disappointed to say the least.
