Apple clearly states that you cannot copy the music you buy, and that you can only burn it to a CD three times. Therefore being able to open a protected AAC file in an audio editor was not part of the agreement. However... if you burn your songs to an audio CD, you can then edit those resulting AIFF files. Simple.

Each song can be burned an unlimited number of times. The burn restriction is 7 times of a given playlist, which is defined by the list and order of songs. Changing even one song resets the limit.Tuesday, October 26 2004 @ 01:18 PM PDT

I stand corrected... I remember they changed it at some point to allow you to make less copies. Not sure where I got three from! Must have read it somewhere...Wednesday, October 27 2004 @ 07:36 AM PDT

I think the limit is seven burns for identical playlists and unlimited burns for individual tracks. Or are we not talking about the same thing here?Reply to This
