Certain of my FLAC files VLC decides to choke on. PureAudio and MacAmp (a dead product) handle the same files just fine - so it is not file corruption. Oh how I wish that someone could create a player for the Mac that was as solid and cool in the media player category as Graphic Convertor is in the graphics category, or VueScan in the utility category.

VLC only supports the latest version of the flac files i think. It's not backward compatible with some of the earliest files.Reply to This
