I downloaded the demo of youPod at home and brought over my Calendar events. When i got to my office, i ran youPod from the iPod and selected Safari Bookmarks from the provided menu. I lost all my bookmarks. Then I quit youPod and the bookmarks were still missing. Then I unmounted my iPod and restarted my Mac... still missing. I was able to find them by searching my hard drive for "bookmarks" and located the backed up file.
I'm assuming this might have something to do with it being in demo mode, but it was still a pain to recover from. At the worst, this demo should just not allow you to select items it can't handle. To move files around and then not move them back is either an obvious bug or a really bad implementation of crippled demoware.
I'm excited about using this software and would pay for it as long as I won't have this problem after paying and the author will look into why this happened. I'm more than willing to assume my own percentage of responsibility if I did something wrong, but I didn't do anything that should have created this problem, IMO.

Whatever you do - Don't upgrade to v1.x Unless you want the same problem coupled with a forever dissapearing iPod space problem.Reply to This
