Why the heck would you want to find and identify dead pixels, once you know where they are, your monitor will never be the same and you'll hate it! If this app was really good, it would make them disappear! maybe create a customized desktop image that actually hid the bad pixels :) You guys are gluttons for punishment!

WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? - lushbudget`

well, i think because some displays are warranted if a finite number of pixels (usually between 3-5) become stuck or dead. Formac has a zero tolerance policy on their displays, and Apple tolerates 5 spaced out or 3 in a row. If I can show for a fact that I have x number of pixels stuck or dead, maybe I can convince them that I deserve a replacement display. Other than this purpose, I agree - I would forever loathe the display that I now know has dead/stuck pixels. It would trouble me.
