The new version seems to have fixed the missing letters issue; even ä ö ü ß are displayed correctly now. Great little software which works as advertised.

There seems to be a little issue when NewsTicker tries to connect to RSS feed which is currently not available. Then the program seems to be hung while loading the feeds; you have to force quit and trash the preferences to get it to work again.
