Stuffit Deluxe is the only software by Aladdin that was by far great, everything else was gimmicky crap. Now, the new company name really sucks! Allume What was wrong with Aladdin, did it offend some single middle-eastern person that had nothing better to do than to complain about something? Who is Allume anyway, the Greek god of compression? Version 8.0.2 was the latest version and it would be nice if they would have perfected it before selling us another maintenance upgrade for $30/year. So what are these new features??? The description just says new features, isn't that special?

the top-level link from the Allume site: "Allume Systems, Inc. (formerly known as Aladdin Systems, Inc.) is not and has never been associated with the separate company known as Aladdin Knowledge Systems." probably says it all. Aladdin was sued over the use of that name, had to change their own name and post a correction on their site to disassociate themselves with the name Aladdin Systems. Just a guess.Reply to This
