As an Educator with 35 computers and an institution to fund upgrades, I am disappointed in Finales 30 day policy for free upgrades.
University funding is not the fastest nor if you just funded something do they want to hear it needs to be funded again.

When I purchased 35 licenses at the beginning of summer break to get ready for fall term, I Paid. Before I could teach a single class Finale went to 2005 and said you had to purchase 30 days before 2005 to qualify for a non-paid upgrade. I was 1 month out of luck (It doesn't pay to try to keep up with this App.).
So---
Pay twice to keep current before it’s even used? I Don't think so.
Consider changing to a new format when new funding becomes available? A good possibility.
Recommend my students to purchase a product that is not backwards compatible? No!
Will I recommend to State University Technology Committee as a core software for implementation/ I just can't with a good heart.

Nice App. Poor academic policies.
Sincerely,
Disappointed & moving on.
