Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

I've used Copy Paste for many years, in OS 7, 8, 9 and X. The version I use now is 1.6.1, which was the last update before version 2 came out. Even before version 2 it had many more features than I need. In order to continue development the author has turned it into a hydra headed text editor, including spell checking. Now he is offering a "lite" version which is something of a downgrade from the last version 1. Perhaps the contextual menu capability would be nice - a viable trade-off for the Dock icon - but, as much as I like Copy Paste, I can't see paying for it again. It may be OK for new users, standing up against the other clipboard utilities, but it doesn't seem compelling to me. If there was a decent upgrade (downgrade ?) price, maybe, but not as it is.

Bad Idea - HansBR.old

I am in the same situation, also use 1.6.1 and can only agree 100%. I paid for OS Classic version, OS X version - and now again? No thank. This kept me also away from purchasing other products (iWatermark) from the developers, because it may go in the same direction
