I use version 6.1.1, and it is extremely slow on my system: G4/800, 1GB memory, OS X 10.3.5.
As is the case with a couple of programs, in order to use them I have to run them under OS 9.
A "10-30 percent gain in overall performance" would mean it is still unusable on my system if I want to run it under OS X.
From what I remember, I would consider upgrading if it had a 1000%-3000% improvement in performance.
Are there any significant improvements to merit an upgrade to a new version number?

I wonder if it will be usable under OS X - tonydermot
Well said! My system is the same as yours - I groaned when Microsoft took over from Connectix, being sure they would bloat out the program and make it even slower - and this has proved to be the case! When will Microsoft give us fast, slick programs? Time is precious and speed is what Virtual PC needs above all!Reply to This
