3ivx is a joke. yeah sure.. it looks good. but it drops sound big time and loses video to audio synchronization quickly on my G4 1.4ghz Quicksilver with 1.5gb ram. Divx 5.2 is vastly superior overall.

3ivx is only the video - mjsickel

3ivx is only video encoding, not the audio (which is usually MP3). Synchronization was a big problem with encoders and has been getting much better recently. I can't speak to how well the 3ivx encoder is these days since I haven't used it in quite a while.
