Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

Updated my 1.5 GHz 15" AlBook, no problems. My son also updated his 867MHz 12" AlBook laptop tonight without incident. Will run for a couple of days before updating any other systems in this office.

Question: I have 2 new xServes... we use Apache 2... am wondering if it may break this? Apache 2 is provided as an "after thought" without GUI in Server Admin. Earlier OS X updates busted my
Apache 2 server twice (I was running Apache 2 on an iMac) when entire folders were replaced... ouch. Now that I use the web server as a production system to deliver clients their data I worry about the impact of updates to xServe... will wait to read more before updating the xServes.

Dave,
I've not yet tried it myself, but a lot of Mac people are using the application, "Pacifist" to inspect the contents of installers - enalbes determination of what files will be affected (changed) BEFORE proceeding
with installation. In mission-critical situations like yours -- this might be a great way to avoid problems.
