Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: 1-6 months

Recommend Product: NO

unfortunately the client version is buggy, I have lost projects, entries and parts of entries (tab in a new job group entry will not tab to notes but to the first note of the first item in the list and delete at the same time the original note there). the promise of this application is really good if it just would not be so touchy as to when it gets a hiccup and when it does something as expected (e.g. a drag/drop into the right place without deleting someting else).

i don't know about the differences in the client (multi-user) and single-user applications, but why is the single user so much more advanced in version number? when I bought iWork a couple of months back, they where the same and seemingly at the time also same in features, but just a little later, the single-user had a feature which the client version did not show (ability to read old project files by drag/drop for example).

does this mean there is paid less attention to the client version? as it seems that the client version is the buggier of the two, this is the one which should be taken care of - before adding new features like the todo stuff (which is nice... if it works, which I don't know yet). look at the ratings between the two and it is obvious that something (not so good) is up with the client version.

originally I bought the single-user version but seeing what the client version promises, I switched - only to now wonder if I should have stayed with the single-user licence and just keep it all on one machine instead.

the version I am talking about unfortunately has so many quirks that I can not trust it and it keeps me in constant fear of loosing again a project or some hour entry etc. - but apart of these issues, it is a well thoughtout application and of course I will try the later version now and hope that this will take care of some of the bigger issues.

Developer reply - iggsoftware

I just wanted to chime in and state that we are fully committed to developing both the single-user version and networking version. As of this release, the feature sets are pretty much identical. In the networking version, you can import old projects by drag-n-drop, you just need to do it onto the client list in iWork Server. Please send bug reports to, support at iggsoftware.com

Sincerely,
IGG Software
