I have been trying to find a fast, easy Video CD player for Mac OS X. After reading comments on the new MacVCD, which looked too controlled, there was a comment saying this MPlayer was better. So I downloaded and tried it out. It opened fine (I was using this on an old Green iBook). To play the Video CD I was hoping it could recognize it and I just hit a button, but it wasn't that simple. I had to search through all of the folders on the cd to find files and then open one that had some video. When I did that it ran it fine. However, this was too hard, since I was doing this for my daughter, so I tried another program recommeded on the MacVCD page by VLC. That one worked easily and did have a way to open Disk, which made it much easier. Both VLC and MPlayer had nice interfaces.
