In EyeTV 1.5 or earlier, "Save As QuickTime Movie" simply created a MPEG Program Stream. This is not a format that QuickTime usually supports.
In EyeTV 1.6, you have many Export options. Choosing "QuickTime" defaults to MPEG-4, but you can choose any codec using the "Options" button. For example, if you have 3ivx or Divx plugins installed, you can use them.
If you're looking for the old way to export, choose "MPEG Program Stream". This will take just as long to export as older versions (i.e. very quickly), and will not change the file from MPEG-2 or MPEG-1 to another format.
Future versions of EyeTV will make these new export options more clear for users.

Nick, thank you for taking the time to commicate in this forum with us. This is very helpful, as it is the most efficient way of getting information about applications we use. It takes too much time to go to a hundred different support sites to find out what is going on with the apps I use. I wish every company would take the time you took to update us on their product.Roger
