I was glad to see the Party Shuffle feature as much as anyone and truth be told it did a lot of what I hoped to do with QSAX. However...
I have playlists I've already set up in a particular order with a lot of songs, so that I can sit and code for extended periods without having to muck with anything. It's my equivalent of inspirational or mood music for coding I guess. Anyway, sometimes I just want to skip a song, but don't want to really change anything else.
To use Party Shuffle in such a scenario, I would need to a) add the first part of the play list to Party Shuffle, b) add the second part as well, skipping the songs I want to skip and c) be jerked back to reality when my shuffle hits the end and starts randomly picking stuff from my library or wherever.
I would prefer to be able to set my playlist to loop and then use QSAX every once in awhile to skip a song here and there.
I've asked for this sort of feature to be built into iTunes, but naturally got no response. It's probably not worth the time and effort for them to implement. So I keep QSAX around for when I need it and let others have it for when they want it.
But back to the point, yes, I too use QSAX less now that Party Shuffle is available, but it still seems to have its uses for me.
