I've been using PalmDesktop 4.2.x on MacOS 10.3.x successfully with no problems until yesterday, after I installed Virex 7.5. Now, I have had 3 times where HotSync immediately fails with a "File Locked" error. After waiting a half hour, HotSync just ran successfully (no changes to configuration).

After some trial, I tracked this down to Virex 7.5 Active Virus Detection. If Palm Desktop is running when you start HotSync, and if Active Virus Detection is enabled, the HotSync will fail with a "File Locked" error.

If Palm Desktop is not running when HotSync is started, even if Active Virus Detection is enabled, the HotSync succeeds.
