Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Have Not Tried

Would someone please tell me why you'd WANT to create a RAM disk in Mac OS X? Doesn't OS X have it's own AUTOMATIC VM?

BECAUSE - diarbyrag

Because a ram disc is better than virtual memory

writes nothing to your hard disc and vanishes into the ether when you erase it

dont know why more apps dont use it

you do not need to keep track of every move you make

i am no big expert but it sounds good to me

and donneleshi is a good link and I intend to register it next pay day

works a treat

the link to this product goes nowhere !!!

so fix it or forget it...

WHY?!? - WillThomasHauge

VM uses hard drive as RAM, RAM Disk uses RAM as a disk drive. They serve different purposes. VM is managed by the OS, where as the size of the RAM Disk is managed by the user.
