Still needs polishing

Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Over One Year

I upgraded to 5.0 from v.4, which I had not been using since
Safari came out. I might switch completely to OmniWeb,
except for some nuisances.

A few sites (such as electronic banking) do not work with
OmniWeb, although they work with Safari. Perhaps OmniWeb
is using an earlier version of Webcore? Also, when you
write to the Google field a search term including umlauts
(such as รครถ), OmniWeb converts these to some strange
coding. With Safari there are no problems. Also, OmniWeb
5.0 has crashed twice since I started to use it a week ago.

The good points are: tabbed browsing with a preview
in a drawer, autofill for usernames and passwords,
and speed.

If you are having trouble with umlauts and so forth, try this. Go Preferences > Languages and select Unicode (UTF-8) as your language of choice, see if this helps
