@Asta the Dog: I had a conversation with the developer about support for the LIDE 50 about a year ago. The problem is the different main chip used in this model compared to the LIDE20, 30, etc. (due to the fact that the LIDE50 is USB2, IIRC), and the fact that Canon is unwilling to make the associated command set public. Reverse-engineering appears to be too difficult. HTH.
