Product Platform: MacOSX

Used Product For: Less than a month

Recommend Product: YES

seems to work fine, but there doesn't seem to be any warning of a restart being needed in Software Update anymore. Rather annoying since I'd just restarted yesterday.

seems to work fine - Felix01

I just updated this a.m. from Software Update and there was a small arrow in the update panel pointing to the app...and the legend says the arrow means "restart required."

As the post above said, yes it does. What's the big deal about restarting? Just shut the damn computer off at night! This isn't an uptime contest! Sheesh! ;)

Regarding shutting down at night - sjonke1

I don't. I put my computer to sleep. I like instant on, which sleep instead of shutdown effectively gives you. There's little reason to shut down unless you aren't going to use the computer again for some time.
