Great to backup your entire hard disk before and after disk replacement.

For those who have problems: I also couldn't boot from the backup copy because there were invisible files in the target disk that were left in past copies (probably made with Jaguar). I formatted the target disk and everything worked perfect.

Works great - rlier

I have been using CC for a couple of years to make a bootable clone. When Panther came out, I also found that unless I erased the target disk with Apple's Disk Utility first, the clone would not boot.

rlier - Fine if that was just once. If you mean that you have had to do it more than once then you shouldn't have to! If that is the case then you should consider posting in Troubleshooting at forums.bombich.com.
